Product description

KPV is a tripeptide fragment (Lysine-Proline-Valine) representing the C-terminal sequence of α-Melanocyte-Stimulating Hormone (α-MSH). In immunological and gastroenterological literature, KPV is primarily researched for its potent anti-inflammatory properties mediated through the inhibition of NF-κB nuclear translocation.

Primary research focus

  • Targeted Anti-Inflammatory Pathways

Investigated in cellular models for its ability to suppress pro-inflammatory cytokine production.

  • Gastrointestinal & Colonic Research

Evaluated in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) models for mucosal healing and barrier protection.

  • Dermal Antimicrobial Activity

Studied for its interaction with skin pathogens and local epithelial inflammation.

Storage

As a general lab-handling guideline, lyophilized peptides are relatively stable at room temperature for short periods but should be moved to refrigerated storage (roughly 2–8°C) as soon as practical after receipt, and kept away from light and humidity. For longer-term storage, freezing is often preferred. This is general handling information only, not usage or dosing guidance.
